We've started!

Work has at last started at Tom's Pirate Playground at Clyro School. Here's a picture of playground designer and maker-in-chief Simon Fraser. He's been making a willow structure with little tunnels at the top corner. More to follow......

Speedy Scarlet

Tom's cousin Scarlet Guest has just completed a run through Kew with a friend. She raised £160. Well done Scarlet - and we hope you weren't too puffed!

Hallam and Jamie

Well done to Hallam Lewis (Tommy's first cousin) and Jamie Maxwell for an incredible walk today along the Essex coast. They were raising funds for the trust and covered 17.2 miles in 4 hours 44 minutes which sounds very fast. Great effort guys! - and not forgetting Alex (Hallam's father) who came along too.

Tom's Pirate Playground

After months of planning, work on Tom's Pirate Playground is about to begin. Playground designer Simon Fraser has created some wonderful designs, with a little help from the children at Clyro School, and we can't wait to see them take shape. The idea is to open the playground just before the end of the summer term - so watch out for the ship's hull and pirate mast slowly appearing next to the school.

River Cafe help us again

So many thanks to all at The River Cafe for raising yet more money for the trust - this time guests were asked to contribute when given their bill. Over £6000 was raised which as a fantastic result!

Tom went to The River Cafe on his last visit to London. He clung to his cousin Charlotte who was a waitress there at the time - and even helped with the cooking.
